Because of their constant innovation and dedication to the craft, Aimpoint is recognized as the worldwide leader in sight system technology. At right is the Aimpoint CompM3 with its protective cover installed, atop a .30 M1 Carbine equipped with an UltiMAK M6-B forward optic mount. The AP10819 30 mm ring and mount are sold separately. Also shown is the AP11430 extended battery cap (sold separately) which keeps a reserve power cell handy at all times. With each cell providing 50,000 hours of reticle illumination, that's a 100,000 hour supply (more than 11 years on setting 7 of 10). .30 M1 Carbine with Aimpoint CompM3 Red Dot Reflex Sight

The CompM3 features Aimpoint's newest Advanced Circuit Efficiency Technology (ACET) giving the sight unparalleled battery life and ease of use. Built for use in daylight, low light, and at night (when used in conjunction with a night vision device) the CompM3 will hold up under the roughest physical handling and most severe weather conditions. Its 4 lowest reticle brightness settings are reserved for use with photo multiplier type Night Vision Devices (NVDs) Gen 1, 2, or 3, and are invisible to the unaided eye. The 6 higher settings are for use in transitional light and daylight, of which the maximum setting is the same extra bright setting found in the other Comp series sights. It is the perfect choice for professionals, hunters, and sport shooters who want the very best in optical precision, versatility, and ruggedness.

Aimpoint sights are designed to allow a shooter to do what comes naturally - keep both eyes open while focusing on a target. This method of sighting maintains the shooter's full field of view, greatly enhancing situational awareness while maximizing target acquisition speed. Thanks to the parallax-free design, the dot follows the movement of the user's eye while remaining fixed on the target, eliminating any need for centering. Further, the sight allows for unlimited eye-relief.
