Semi-gloss, blued steel with vents, this handguard installs just like the original wood handguard, giving a new look, and better ventilation, to your classic shooter. Shown here on the (rather nice) new Auto Ordinance Carbine along with the CHM1CF folding synthetic stock, it will fit with the old GI Carbines and wooden stocks equally well. Minor trimming at the ends, or adjustment of the barrel band/retaining clip may be necessary in some cases, but this particular installation was a perfect, drop-in fit.
